Wathba Stallions, the breeding operation of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, are pleased to announce their stallion roster for the 2023 breeding season, which include exciting new sires.
Multiple Group 1 winner AREEM (Mahabb) showed a lot of speed on the racetrack. After a promising first racing season in France at 3, where he was placed second in the competitive Coupe de France des Chevaux Arabes (Gr.1 PA), AREEM continued his career in the UAE where he won four Group 1 races: the National Day Cup, twice, as well as the Al Maktoum Challenge Round 1 and the Liwa Oasis. He stamps his stock and has already sired winners from his first crops.
MUSHRAE (Munjiz) won his first Group 1 race at 3, in the Arabian Trophy des Poulains, and confirmed his talent at 4 when he won the Qatar Arabian World Cup in ParisLongchamp. MUSHRAE is the son of the outstanding Group winner DJEZIKA, dam of NAHEE and TAYMOUR. His second dam is the remarkable CHERIFA, whose descendants include TAYF, MAJD AL ARAB, HANDASSA, CHERAZADE, DJESABELLE, DJELMANE, DJOURIFA, among many other Group winners and performers.
Stakes winner at 3 in France, NASEEM (Mahabb) continued his successful career in the UAE with victories in the HH The President Cup and the Al Maktoum Challenge Round 1 (Grs.1 PA). NASEEM comes from the very successful damline that produced numerous Group winners such as DAHWA, TEEMA, HAYYAN, BANDAR, NAJAH, THABIT, ELAF, BAYAN, DERYAN, SHAHM, AICHA DE MONLAU, ABHAAR, etc.
Group 1 winner RAAZIQ (Munjiz) is a very attractive stallion with a good mind and the ability to race on any surface. His half-brother THAKIF (Mahabb) also performed at the highest level and won six Group races. They come from the same damline as SHADIYDA (Al Sakbe), AKBAR, ZEFIRO DE NULVI, BRRAQ, AOUN, HAAJEB, FALERO DE NAUTIAC, AF ALGHABRA, etc. RAAZIQ and THAKIF both sired their first winners in the UAE a few weeks ago when MURAM (Thakif) won at Sharjah in November and RAAZAQ BAYNOUNAH (Raaziq) won in Abu Dhabi in December.
Group 1 winner RMMAS (Mahabb) has an exceptional conformation and showed a lot of speed during his racing career. His pedigree is outstanding. His dam, Shamayl, is a remarkable broodmare, her progeny include JOUDH, MABROOKA, RAKHA, KANAAN, Haanoof, Baraaqa, etc. Many champions can be found in his damline such as CALIN DE LOUVE, LAHIB, first winner of the Arabian World Cup, SOMOUD, NORAA, NAZIQ, etc.
SHATEH (Mahabb) had a lot of speed and won from 1000m to 1600m, in France and UAE. He is a good-looking racehorse with an interesting pedigree. He is half-brother to DAHHAM, Group 1 winner in France. His second dam, El Afia, was born in Tunisia and has produced LAAMMA, ABHAAR, HAGNES DE FAUST, etc.
Globe-trotter ZIYADD (Bibi de Carrere) has performed in Stakes races from 3 to 8 in Europe and the UAE. Son of multiple Group 1 winner MIZZNA, ZIYADD is full-brother to Kahayla Classic and successful sire RABBAH DE CARRERE (Bibi de Carrere). He is also half-brother to the late HATTAL, multiple Group 1 winner. ZIYADD’s second dam is the outstanding UNCHAINEDD MELODY.
