THAKIF is off the mark as the promising 3yo filly MURAM won the Longines Record maiden race at Sharjah Longines Racecourse on the 27th November, over 1200m, on her second start. Trained by Jaber Bittar and ridden on the day by Antonio Fresu, Muram took the lead from the start and won by more than two lengths. She was then placed fourth in a very competitive Listed race a month later in Abu Dhabi.
THAKIF (Mahabb) won seven races, including six Group races, and was placed 14 times, from three to eigth. He was very consistent at the highest level throughout his racing career. His dam is the remarkable Sheena (Djelfor) who has produced Group 1 winners and sires RAAZIQ (Munjiz) and SHADIYDA (Al Sakbe) as well as Group performers Raked (Magic de Piboul) and Rahef (Kerbella). She is also the granddam of Group winners BRRAQ (Mahabb), AOUN (Mahabb) and HAAJEB (Mawood).
