Wathba stallion RAAZIQ sired his first winner in Abu Dhabi on 15th December when RAAZAQ BAYNOUNAH, initially first reserve, won the Rub Al Khali maiden race over 1400m for trainer Nisren Mahgoub. Ridden by Patrick Cosgrave, Raazaq Baynounah came from a distance and won by more than 6 lengths on his only second start, after a promising second place on debut.
RAAZIQ, a son of the late exceptional sire MUNJIZ, is a Group 1 winner and performer. His half-brother and multiple Group winner THAKIF (Mahabb) sired his first winner less than a month prior. Their dam is the remarkable Sheena (Djelfor) who has also produced Group 1 winner and sire SHADIYDA (Al Sakbe) as well as Group performers Raked (Magic de Piboul) and Rahef (Kerbella). She is also the granddam of Group winners BRRAQ (Mahabb), AOUN (Mahabb) and HAAJEB (Mawood).
